Essential oils are liquid and hydrophobic concentrates of the aromatic compounds of a plant. Several means can be used to obtain essential oils (mechanical extraction, steam, distillation, etc.).

Phthalates are a group of chemicals. They are commonly used as plasticizers for plastics to make them flexible.

A scented candle is a candle that will diffuse a scent when it is lit.

Soy candles are made with soy wax. Soy wax is a vegetable wax obtained from soybean oil.

Long wax refers to beeswax. A wax is a substance that is malleable at room temperature, having a melting point above 45°C, a low viscosity when melted and being insoluble in water. There are natural waxes and artificial waxes.
